2005 Mustang Preview

There have been many different rumors of what our favorite pony will look like in 2005 or should we say 2004 1/2? Recently an Autoweek reader spotted what may be the answer to our question.

According to sources this pony will ride on the Lincoln/Thunderbird chassis. It will most likely have an independent rear suspension and of course it will seat only two.

The most fun part for me has been the possibilities that this car will offer for the aftermarket. 18" or 19" wheels, dual hoop roll bars, body kits! In doing some research on the 2005 Mustang, I found these:

I have always thought that the cars that SCCA should allow for Trans Am Series should be like in the old days, Actual production cars. A father and son call this "Project Griffin" Click here to check out more on this project.

But what about the car that has already been built? The Boss 5.0! has been on the road ever since 2000. Being involved with the Boos 5.0 I can tell you that the reaction people have when they see it is just amazing. Your really can't go the gas station without spending 10-15 minutes answering questions.

This tells me that whatever Ford brings out in 2004 1/2 that resembles the original pony car will certainly be embraced by all Mustang lovers.
