GB400R - 003 In the Works!

"Arrive & Drive"

2002 will be a very exciting year! In the works is our new "Arrive and Drive" program designed for all those who have an interest in driving a professionally built race car.

Our goal is to have the car completed by the end of February, therefore we are working nights and weekends to get it done. After cutting the body off the car, we need to finish the cage and make the necessary changes to make the car well balanced.

Our fiberglass guys work hard to get the lightweight body ready to be fitted into our chassis.

One of the difficult tasks is to modify the pedals in order to push the driver's seat as far back and low as possible. This will help the balance of the car by bringing the center of gravity to the center of the car.

All of our race cars have a birth certificate, shown to the right is the GB400R VIN plate located on the firewall of each car, this will be GB400R-003.

1/22/02 - Update: We have added more cage bracing to the existing frame. By triangulating the front of the cage to the strut towers we have added rigidity to the front of the car. The bars attach to the center bar inside the cockpit at brace directly to the rear strut towers.

Notice the tubular K-member used along with it tubular lower control arms that are fully adjustable!

The passenger door bars have also been set in place. The roof used as a guide line to make sure all of the body components will align with the cage.
