GB400R
Up Close - Part 2 The Engine |
|

|
| The GB400R has been a test mule for engine combinations
that will ultimately be installed on the GB Roadsters. Initially the 400 was a figure that would equate
to having 400hp engine cars. Several engine combinations were tossed
around such as a 351W engine. There was a small set back to that which
was the weight factor. The cars as light to begin with so why add
weight. |

|
| The engine has been set back to help the balance of the
car. Another feature that helps the power of the GB400R is the custom
built carburetor fresh air element. After installed we noticed a
significant increase of jetting needed in the carburetor in order to
keep the spark plugs burning correctly! Dyno results are still pending. |
