| On its 7th year running the McCormick Cup
has just released its 2003 schedule. This schedule will include 3
international events that will take place in Mexico. The Mustangs will
perform as a support race in these events.
On March they will travel to Monterrey to warm up the
crowd for the CART Series. There, they expect over 150,000 fans that
will fill the grand stands all weekend. Then on April 6 they will be
supporting the American LeMans Series on its first visit to Mexico
City. And finally in November again will team up with CART for their 2nd
run in Mexico City.
The series has been so successful that each year they
have been adding more dates to their already busy schedule. They believe
in exposure, exposure, exposure which has helped teams achieve solid
sponsorship such as Ford Credit, Telmex, Corona, Coca Cola among
others.
For Mexico, these cars are the equivalent to our Trans
AM Series as far as exposure and professionalism. Some of these drivers
consider this a stepping stone for International Pro Driving. The
Mustangs are equally prepared with most off the shelf parts and and all
run on Hooser Tires.
