After months of preparation, Tito finally got a change to shake down
his #73 Mazda in the road course of the Texas Motor speedway in College
Station.
The first sessions were used only to get a feel for the track and see what the car would do. The car is set up to run in the
SCCA ITA class and has to run on dot tires. Tito's racing background
shined as he ran the car on old "street tires" and was still
able to out brake and corner the Mazda better that most of the group.
Tito has been
racing since a very early age in Mexico City. He drove some
of the first Mustangs to race in Mexico on the Trans AM series back in
the late 60's. A wide variety of cars have been prepared and raced by him
ranging from open road rally, roadracing and drag racing.
